What is the Max RAM Memory  for HP Pavilion 24-r019LA

Memory upgrade information

  • Dual channel memory architecture
  • Two DDR4 SODIMM (260-pin) sockets
  • Supports up to PC4-19200 (DDR4-2400)
  • Supports 2 GB, 4 GB, and 8 GB DDR4 SODIMMs
  • Supports up to 4 GB on 32-bit systems
    NOTE:
32-bit systems cannot address a full 4.0 GB of memory.
  • Supports up to 16 GB (unbuffered) on 64-bit systems
    NOTE:
Maximum memory shown reflects the capability of the hardware and can be limited further in the operating system.

Is this per SLOT, Per Socket, per memory card or TOTAL, FInal adding both slots?

Manual Says "Supports up to 16 GB (unbuffered) on 64-bit systems" Is this per slot?

Hi:

The memory upgrade specs are indicating the max memory is 2 x 8 GB.

The Crucial memory report for your model PC indicates the same.

  • here, that means you have two slots, with one or both already used, and ddr type  !
  •
  • Supports up to PC4-19200 (DDR4-2400)
  • here the supported frequency/speed
  • https://www.intel.co.uk/content/www/uk/en/gaming/resources/how-much-ram-gaming.html
  •
  • Supports 2 GB, 4 GB, and 8 GB DDR4 SODIMMs
  • here what you can place in a slot, max capacity for each module so from 2 to 8 gb per slot!
  • Supports up to 4 GB on 32-bit systems
  •
    NOTE:
32-bit systems cannot address a full 4.0 GB of memory.

if you have a 32-bit windows version, which is rarely the case these days, the maximum that will be usable will be 4 gb
the 32-bit version cannot handle more

Supports up to 16 GB (unbuffered) on 64-bit systems

Here, so the motherboard will accept a maximum in total with two slots used, under windows 64 bits, 16 gb of memory

Is this per SLOT, Per Socket, per memory card or TOTAL, FInal adding both slots?

Manual Says "Supports up to 16 GB (unbuffered) on 64-bit systems" Is this per slot?
