Hello.
I own two HP Pavilion 590-p0027nq desktop PCs. On one of them I mounted a 512 GB M2 Kingston SSD, and on the other a 1TB M2 Kingston SSD. Both work perfectly.
My question is does my PC motherboard support a 2TB M2 SSD? The motherboard model is Lincs 843B, the one that comes with the PC unit.
Thank you!

Hello, Genu21
I can help you with your question about the HP Pavilion 590-p0027nq desktop PC. 😊
According to my knowledge, the Lincs 843B motherboard has one M.2 socket 3, 2280 type for SSD. However, the compatibility of the M.2 SSD depends on whether it is NVMe or SATA, and whether the BIOS is updated or not.
Some users have reported that they were able to use NVMe SSDs on the Lincs 843B motherboard, but they had to update the BIOS first. Others have suggested that using an M.2 SATA SSD is safer and easier, as it does not require any BIOS update.
Therefore, if you want to use a 2TB M.2 SSD on your PC, you have two options:
1. You can use a 2TB M.2 SATA SSD, such as the Western Digital Blue SA510 M.2 SSD, which should work without any issues.
2. You can use a 2TB M.2 NVMe SSD, such as the Samsung 970 EVO Plus M.2 SSD, but you will have to update the BIOS first. You can find the latest BIOS update for your PC here. However, updating the BIOS involves some risk, so please follow the instructions carefully and back up your data before proceeding.
I hope this helps you with your decision. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask. 😊
Best regard,

Thank you!
The SSDs I already use on my PCs are NVMe (1 TB and 512Gb) and they both work perfectly. Yes, I have the updated BIOS (I had updated it as soon as an update was available, not purposely for the SSDs). I will give it a try with a 2TB NVMe in the following weeks. I will post a reply here after I test it, for other user who might have the same question.
Best regards!
