Hello guys so I have a hp 8767

Im trying to add fans for intake

Now I have two fan ports

One for the chassis and one for cpu

I want to add more fans and I have already ordered two of them and thinking of splitting the cpu fan port into three parts by a splitter

But I was wondering if I could add more, since most motherboards have a maximum of 1amp

I already have the stock hp 95w cooler attached to it, idk how much amp it uses (HP P/N:644724-001)

Im wondering how much does the hp motherboard have, since if it has more amperes I can add more fans

Hi @Yeskinggaming1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I Understand your concern about the fan addition , don’t worry let me help you with this.

Could you please confirm the exact model number of your HP device is it HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01 series PCs

In the meantime, here are a few considerations you can try:

  • Check BIOS/UEFI settings: Some HP systems allow you to monitor fan speeds and connected devices directly in BIOS. This can give you a clue about how many fans are detected and their power draw.
  • Inspect the motherboard manual: If available, it will list the maximum amperage per fan header. Many HP motherboards are limited to around 1A per header, but this can vary.
  • Avoid splitting the CPU fan header excessively: The CPU fan header is designed primarily for the cooler. Adding multiple fans to it may overload the circuit or interfere with proper CPU cooling control.

Since the amperage and header capacity depend on the physical compatibility of your specific HP motherboard, the HP service center can confirm the safe limits and recommend the best configuration.
