I want to buy a HP Thin Client T620 just for a personal pc. I have to upgrade its integrated storage (16GB) since it was too small. What is the maximum capacity storage can this HP Thin Client T620 read? I will supposedly upgrade it to 512GB M.2 NGFF SSD

Hi:
There is no information available on how large a capacity M.2 SSD you can install in the model series.
All I can find from the specs is that HP only offered up to 64 GB drives in the model series.
I did the same thing as you and bought a HP t630 and installed a WD Blue SA510 256 GB M.2 SATA SSD in mine, and it works fine.
I imagine a 512 GB M.2 SATA SSD would also work fine in the t620.
Only SATA M.2 SSD's are supported, not NVMe.
If you plan on installing a regular version of Windows on the PC, note that it will run pretty sluggish, at least that is how mine runs. I'm running W11 Pro 64 bit on mine, but I had originally installed W10 Pro.
They were not designed to run the full versions of Windows we are used to.
I installed 2 x 8 GB of DDR4-2400 memory in mine, maxed out the graphics memory setting in the BIOS and the PC barely works acceptably.
The t620 being older, may perform even worse.
If you want a small PC that works well. look into one of the Elitedesk 800 G1, G2, G3, G4 desktop mini models that can support full versions of Windows.
Here is the specs sheet for the 800 G3 model series:

You're very welcome.
Yes, I suppose that is an option.
I might give that a try someday.
I don't use the PC anymore.
I got an HP Elitedesk 800 G3 Desktop Mini 35W PC which runs the full blown W11 version just fine.
I had to use the Rufus utility to bypass the W11 hardware checks because the i5-6500T processor does not meet Microsoft's minimum W11 processor requirements.

Hi:
I took your suggestion and installed Tiny 11 23H2 Pro on my Thin Client.
It works better than the full version of Windows.
I had known about Tiny 10 & TIny 11 but my understanding is the older versions did not receive any Windows cumulative or security updates.
Tiny 11 23H3 receives every Windows update my other PC's running W11 receive.
Now the PC has gone from barely tolerable to fairly decent.
Bottom line: It is now usable with Tiny 11 23H2.
I installed Microsoft Edge and Outlook for Windows from the Microsoft Store and a few other small programs I like to use such as Wise Disk Cleaner.
Thanks for the idea.
I still don't recommend buying a Thin Client unless you can get one for a low price.
I only paid $65 for my 800 G3 DM used and about the same for the t630 the year before that--new in box.
