Hello,
I'm looking for the good "Media Card Reader - SD 4.0 with 5-in-1 Interface (Supports SD, SDXC, SDHC, UHS-I, UHS-II)" for my HP Z1 G8 tower desktop and find nothing. The QuickSpecs give no information more.
Where can I find it?
Thx

UHS-II card readers are not that common as they also require a USB 3.0 (or faster) motherboard interface
you also make it even harder by wanting a internal 3.5 in form factor rather than a external usb adapter

You are correct, there seems to be no information about that option.
I am going to guess (sorry)
Looking that the manual that shows an illustrated assembly it appears that SD reader is part of the motherboard
The part with ID "5" is the reader but that is shown as part of the motherboard just under the single USBC, which is under the two pair of USB3
The Z1 G5 tower appears to have the exact same front case as your Z1 G8. However the motherboard is different and there is no SD reader under the USBC which is under the two pair of USB3
That part that goes to all the "Z1" EXCEPT THE G8 is listed here
a picture of the card reader is here
note this is the G5
Please look at your motherboard and see if something like the above will fit and there is a USB3 socket for the adapter to plug into.
I am pretty sure that this is the part
But it may not fit on your G8
[edit] As @DGroves wrote your best best is to get a dongle or adapter that plugs into an existing USB3 port.
