Pavilion p7-1010
Microsoft Windows 11

I want the HP community to know that my pavilion has rubber feet under the CPU. Without my knowing, these melted into my carpet. No there is not been a heat wave, and yes this is my home with air-conditioning.

Hi:

That is unfortunate.  Hopefully you will be able to clean the carpet of the melted rubber.

Looking at the picture of the PC, it appears to me that the reason why it happened is that the vent on the bottom of your PC sunk into the carpet piling, and that caused the ventilation to become blocked, thus causing the PC to overheat, and the rubber feet to melt.

What I suggest you do (which is what I do) is to place a flat board under the PC to promote better airflow, and that also helps keep the dust from the carpet from being inducted into the PC.
