I want to upgrade 12 to 16 Memory RAM.  So What should i buy ?

Hi:

 

HP indicates the max is 2 x 8 GB (see the specs below).

Crucial indicates the max is 2 x 16 GB of memory...

You can confirm how much memory your PC can support by:

 

1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator. This will open the command prompt.

 

2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and hit enter.

 

There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.

 

The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.

I don't know what your requirements are for a graphics card.

 

If you just want something a little better than the onboard Intel graphics, I would go with the Nvidia GT1030 2 GB with GDDR5 memory, which is a decent card.

 

Unfortunately, graphics cards have become very expensive and even this entry level card is over $130.00 new.

 

If you don't want to spend that much money, then go with a used but tested and working Nvidia GT 730.

 

There are plenty of those for sale on eBay.

Question : If i5 to i7 CPU Upgrade finish the whole installation procedure, and turn on the PC, the system will recognize the new processor automatically or do you have to adjust it somewhere? Imean the BIOS
