Hp pavilion mini 300 240 pc
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought Hp pavilion 300 240 mini pc about an year ago. It came with M.2 32GB Sandisk ssd. Since after installing OS and minimal requirement software, pc almost ran out of memory. I couldn't install new software or have big files in the system. Windows 10 64 bit OS doesn't free up memory. I had a laptop so never felt the need to upgrade until my laptop broke recently.

I did little research about upgrading this system. I should either go for M.2 ssd or SSD. For having SSD on board I need SATA cable, not ordinary one but tiny little one that fits into the space. I was not provided with one with the system. To my dismay I couldn't find it online. I need to upgrade my system asap for it has long overdue OS updates to be updated. Since many months. I fail to understand why hp didn't have a variant for this system with higher ssd memory. Did anyone upgrade pavilion mini pc. Please help!

@Kris2498,

Again I am reposting what you said in the previous inquiry to keep everony on the same playing field.

Thank you sir, not that I have't seen but I am new to these things mSata M.2. You are so  kind to refresh and remind me of your previous suggestions. That only made my problem worse.

I have to upgrade it anyways. 32 GB full and windows trying to update every time I shut down. What options do I have? The second slot seems to be occupied as well with WLAN card. I also bought dock station to clone ssd 🙃 Do you have any suggestions? Thanks 🙏

Although the video was a nice catch, the product code for the 300-240 is N0B02AA.  The HpPartSurfer  does not mentioned the hard drive caddy, nor the mini ribbon SATA cable.   Do you actually have the SSD hard drive cradle sitting on top of the unit, as depicted in the video.   You need to answer that question, as you posed itIf so, need to mention the part number for the cradle. Then you could try to find the internal cable as you mentioned.

@Kris2498,

First of all, lets get the wording correct, so that others can understand your inquiry.

What you stating  is that the 32GB m.2 socket 3 SSD card needs to be replaced.  You desire a larger capacity SSD card. You will need an adapter to make the cloning of the SSD.  Then you can swap out the cards, and use the external adapter as an  extra storage device.  You will have to measure the m.2 socket area to determine what width and length card will fit. See here to understand what I mean.  Section called "Form factors and keying".

1)  example of an external Adapter     2) example of cloning procedure.
