I have a HP all in one. When I go into the system page it shows 4 gb RAM and the storage is shown as zero? Is this correct. I am trying to find out the memory capacity IMG_1105.jpeg

Hi @Nanucleo

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for explaining the situation—I'm really sorry the storage is showing as zero on your HP All-in-One.

Based on your description and the system page you viewed, here's a breakdown of what’s likely happening and how to interpret it:

What You're Seeing

  • 4 GB RAM: This is your system memory, used for running applications. It’s correctly detected.
  • Storage shows as zero: This is likely a display or detection issue, not an actual absence of storage.

Why Storage Might Show as Zero

  • The “About” page in Windows Settings sometimes fails to show storage if:
    • The drive is partitioned in a non-standard way
    • The system is using eMMC or NVMe storage, which may not be listed there
    • There’s a driver issue or Windows bug affecting detection

How to Check Actual Storage Capacity

Use one of these methods to get an accurate reading:

1. File Explorer

  • Open File Explorer
  • Click This PC
  • Look under Devices and Drives for your main drive (usually C:)
  • It will show total capacity and free space

2. Disk Management

  • Press Windows + X > choose Disk Management
  • View all physical drives and partitions
  • Right-click the main volume > Properties to see full capacity

3. System Information

  • Press Windows + R, type msinfo32, and press Enter
  • Go to Components > Storage > Disks
  • This shows detailed specs including total size and type

Let me know what you find or if you’d like help interpreting the results—I’ll guide you step by step. You’re doing everything right by checking early—I’ll stay with you until it’s clear.
