Just an FYI for those looking to upgrade your HP 24-g020 All-In-One PC...
Even though the motherboard in this PC only has a single memory slot with an 8Gb Ram stick installed in it, it is possible to install a single 16Gb memory stick to increase/boost performance. I installed 16Gb of ram along with a 1Tb SSD drive and had no issues. I was also able to install Windows 11 Home (clean install not and upgrade) and the system works perfectly.
Parts list below...
Ram (around $100) - 16GB DDR3 Laptop RAM 1600MHz SODIMM PC3L-12800S DDR3L SO-DIMM Notebook Memory 2Rx8 1.35V CL11 Non-ECC Unbuffered 204-Pin Memory
Hard drive (around $50) - TEAMGROUP AX2 1TB 3D NAND TLC 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal Solid State Drive SSD

Hi @Airdog99,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thanks for sharing this info! Upgrading to a single 16GB RAM stick and adding a 1TB SSD seems like a great way to boost performance for the HP 24-g020 All-In-One PC. It’s helpful for others considering similar upgrades.
The RAM you mentioned, with its DDR3L specification, and the SSD you selected both provide a good balance of performance and cost. Installing Windows 11 Home cleanly on top of these upgrades sounds like it’s worked out well for you.
If anyone else is looking to upgrade their all-in-one PC, this could be a valuable reference.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
