I tried installing
A-Tech 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1333MHz DIMM PC3-10600 2Rx8 Dual Rank 1.5V CL9 240-Pin Non-ECC UDIMM Desktop RAM Memory Upgrade Kit
but PC when booting up its stops and says its trying to repair configuration, then ends up shutting down, I tried one bank and then nothing computer wouldn't even turn on, then banks 0ne and 3 and starts booting but stops again, same thing with banks 2 and 4 after removing memory from banks 1 and 3, then tried banks 1, 3 and 4 and starts booting but stops again .
I'd like to upgrade to non-ECC memory as I can't afford ECC R-SDRAM memory to upgrade to 16 Gb or even to the maximum of 32 on both Compaq 8100 and 6300 i5 computers.

Hi:
The HP 8100 Elite only takes non-ECC unbuffered memory.
The max memory is 4 x 4 GB.
It is very hard to find the right memory for the 8000 Elite and 8100 Elite PC's.
I used this memory in my HP 8000 Elite. Worked perfectly.
