Hello.

I want to replace (upgrade) the RAM in my computer. I have 2*8 (16) ( Samsung M378A1K43EB2-CWE)

memory in my computer, so I want to upgrade it to 32. My motherboard is:
HP name: Stark
SSID: 8860

Chipset H570

The website HP says that the motherboard supports the following improvements: (but it says that it supports up to PC4-23400 (DDR4-2933). But the native RAM, which I did not change and was already in the computer at the time of purchase, is M378A1K43EB2-CWE, which supports 3200, not 2933. In general, the question is - can I buy 32 GB 3200?)

  • Dual channel memory architecture (One DIMM per channel)
  • Two DDR4 DIMM (288-pin) sockets
  • Supports up to PC4-23400 (DDR4-2933)
  • Supports 4 GB and 8 GB DDR4 UDIMMs
  • Supports up to 4 GB on 32-bit systems
    note:
32-bit systems cannot address a full 4.0 GB of memory.
  • Supports up to 32 GB (unbuffered) with two 16 GB DIMMs on 64-bit systems
    note:
Maximum memory shown reflects the capability of the hardware and can be limited further in the operating system.

@SA8866,

Yes, HP's Stark motherboard (SSID: 8860) specs says: "Supports up to PC4-23400 (DDR4-2933)", even though the Intel Core 11th gen processors all support up to 3200 MHz RAM speed.

And indeed, based on actual HP Pavilion Desktop TP01-2xxx User benchmark results, the Stark motherboard does support RAM to run up to 3200 MHz, such as this User example: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/67502543.

Btw, your PC can handle up to 2x32GB RAM.

Based on the aforementioned User benchmarks, these RAM score amongst the best options and run at 3200 MHz:

2x16GB Samsung M378A2K43EB1-CWE
2x16GB Crucial CT16G4DFRA32A.C8FE
2x16GB Crucial CT16G4DFD832A.M16FR
2x16GB Hynix HMA82GU6DJR8N-XN
2x16GB Micron 16ATF2G64AZ-3G2E1
2x32GB Crucial CP32G4DFRA32A.C16FF
