HP Z230 Base Model Small Form Factor Workstation

Hello again, I replaced the sata hdd's in my HP Z230 SFF workstations with SSD's at 240gb, and used the W10 disc i bought to install the OS. I was pleasantly surprised when w10 installed from the disc. Anybody have a product code i can borrow?

Also, i read where server memory will run on these machines. How do i make that happen?

Thanks

@cribboy521,

Welcome to our HP community forum!

Yes, an HP Z230 SFF accepts Non-ECC and ECC RAM, but not mixed: either install the one or the other.  No other special instructions needed. Examples of ECC (server) RAM:

8GB Samsung M391B1G73QH0-CK0 DDR3 1600MHz ECC UDIMM Dual Rank 2Rx8

8GB SK Hynix HMT41GU7AFR8C-RD DDR3 1866MHz ECC UDIMM Dual Rank 2Rx8

Kind Regards,
