Z1 Entry Tower G6
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Received my Z1 Entry Tower G6 yesterday but it does not have an optical drive installed. There is a slot available for it and documentation shows a 9.5mm slim optical drive will fit.

1) Document shows to install optical drive with the release latch. No release latch supplied with the machine.  Where do I get this release latch from?

2) The bezel blank for the optical drive slot is about 20mm wide.  When installing a 9.5mm optical drive there will be an open slit of about 1 cm. Where can I get the appropriate front plate that fits with this configuration.

I looked around for a "perfect fit" dvd re-writer but never found the magic "9.0 mm 20mm bezel"  The only one that claimed to be 9.0 and G6 did not show the 20mm overhanging bezel.

Problem:  You will need a complete kit including the sata cable adapters as slim optical disks do not use the same sata connector as hard drives.

USB3 external re-writers work nicely and a few TVs can accept them which can be a plus.  BluRay external USB3 run $100 USD so not as cheap as regular dvd.

Good Luck!

which could be the part that you need to order.
