Hello everyone. I have a quick question that I'm hoping I can get some help with.
I have an HP-880-122na (desktop). There are four RAM slots on the MB, and two are currently filled with the stock RAM. They are 2x8 DDR4 2666MHz (19-19-19-43). I was looking to up it to 32GB and I was curious about compatibility.
I can find the same RAM online, but it's pricy (my guess is because it's strange no name stuff). However, I can get some blingy Corsair Pro Vengeance for a lot cheaper. The specs on it are 8GB 2666MHz with 16-18-18-35 timings.
I checked my bios, and there are no options for chaning the timings. If so, I'd switch the Corsair stuff to match the slower stock stuff. Will my MB automatically adjust everything to match the slowest RAM or will my computer explode into a firery mess?
Thanks.
