Hi @Rudy2001,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
I understand that you are facing issues with the Monitor flickering.
Flickering and static horizontal lines on your HP X27q QHD Gaming Monitor could be caused by several factors, including cable issues, driver problems, or hardware faults. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Check the Cable Connections:
- Ensure that the display cable (HDMI, DisplayPort) is securely connected to both the monitor and the computer.
- Try using a different cable to rule out a faulty cable.
- If possible, try connecting the monitor to a different port on your computer.
Update Graphics Drivers:
- Update your graphics card drivers to the latest version.
- Visit the HP website for your graphics card (NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel) to download and install the latest drivers.
Update Monitor Firmware:
- Check if there are any firmware updates available for your monitor on the HP Support website.
- Download and install any available firmware updates for the HP X27q QHD Gaming Monitor.
Adjust Monitor Settings:
- Access the monitor's on-screen display (OSD) menu.
- Check and adjust the refresh rate settings. Ensure that the monitor is set to its native refresh rate (typically 60Hz or higher for gaming monitors).
- Disable any advanced features like FreeSync or G-Sync to see if the flickering stops.
Test on a Different Computer:
- Connect the monitor to a different computer to see if the issue persists. This will help determine if the problem is with the monitor or the original computer.
Check Power Supply:
- Ensure that the power cable is securely connected to the monitor.
- Try using a different power outlet or power strip to rule out power-related issues.
inspect for Physical Damage:
- Check the monitor and cables for any visible signs of damage that could be causing the issue.
Reset Monitor Settings:
- Access the monitor's OSD menu and look for an option to reset to factory settings.
- Perform a factory reset and reconfigure the monitor settings.
If the issue persists after trying these steps, there may be a hardware fault with the monitor. In this case, contacting HP phone Support for further assistance or considering a warranty repair or replacement might be necessary.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
