I have 2 computers that I share one monitor with.  The first is an older Dell and the second is Omen Desktop 870-244 that I use for games.  To connect to my HP Monitor with the Omen I bought a cord with a pin type connector to the monitor and the other end goes in one of the ports in the back of the Omen.  It has worked perfectly till today. I had disconnected all the computers, monitors, etc. when I cleaned the computer desk and area. After,  I turned on the omen and while the monitor had power, it showed nothing on the screen.

So I'm wondering what to do now.

Any suggestions.  Thank you all in advance for any help and assistance.

Sounds like you're using a VGA cable for the Omen. Is there more than one VGA connector on the back of the Omen? Sometimes there's an 'integrated' VGA port for the on-board graphics, and a VGA port for the add-in video card graphics. Make sure it's in the right one.

Also see if you can manually set the monitor to VGA input rather than 'auto detect' and see if it works. You'll need to change it back to auto detect once you're finished trouble shooting, otherwise it won't pick up on the Dell PC.

There are 2 connectors on the back of the monitor.  One fits for the older Dell computer and the other fits the cable I bought to connect the Omen to the monitor.  It's bigger than the other blue connector.  There's 2 HDMI ports on the back of the Omen and I've tried both of them.

I did try your suggestion but still nothing working.  I can't figure out what I'm missing.  If you can think of any other solutions, I'd be most appreciative.

Thank you for your earlier assistance.

OK. Sounds like you're using a white DVI connector for the Omen?

If you've tried multiple leads and different connectors, then it sounds to me like the Omen is not booting, as opposed to the screen just not picking up a signal.

Try pulling the RAM out of the Omen and see if it beeps at you when you turn it on.

Then try re-seating the RAM and the Video Card.
