We just bought an HP Envy and was thinking we could just connect our existing Monitor with a standard VGA connection to the desktop but can not see one anywhere. Do we need to get a cable conversion or new cable with VGA one end and HDMI the other ? Also there are a couple of screws on back that say “ do not remove “ could that be a VGA port under there? Thank you for any advice. Not very tech savvy !!

There actually is a VGA port on the motherboard.
Unfortunately you cannot use the HDMI and VGA at the same time.
VGA is disabled and the one that is covered is probably VGA.
