HP Compaq 8300 CMT
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP Compaq 8300 CMT with carver REV-a /656941-001 mother board.

Purchased a MSI Opitx G27C4 monitor that has DP and HDMI input connections.

My current graphic card only has 1 HDMI connector, this display allowed me to use the DP port on the mother

board for the display and HDMI port for my smart tv.

Get not signal when connected to motherboard DP port but works fine when connected

to my graphic card HDMI.

Purchased the HP recommended DP to HDMI cable and still no signal when connected

from mother board DP port to the display HDMI port.

I did not see in the BIOS where there is a setting I could change to correct this.

Is there something I am missing or is this one of these problems that will never be addressed and I have buy another graphics card to provide the DP++ connection the mother board will not?

Does it have a video card installed ? If YES then all video out ports on mother board are disabled because they come from integrated video out.

Regards.

Thank you, guess it is time for an update to my graphics card.
