Product: Pavilion p6823w

I don't know if new FX processors works with motherboard Alvorix-RS880.

 

HP/Alvorix reports processors upgrade information  (Phenom, Athlon and Sempron) but there isn't information about compatibility with new processors, FX family.

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

 

The HP Support site link in your post showing Alvorix-RS880 processor upgrade specifications lists eight Socket AM3 95 watt TDP processors lines that will work with your motherboard.

 

HP has validated those products on your motherboard (MB).

 

The FX processors require a Socket AM3+ and have a TDP of 125 watts.

 

The FX processors are not going to work on your MB.
