I need help determing if my computers cpu can be upgraded and if it will be worth it. Its model number is a6030 and it has - AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ / 2.5 GHz / Dual Core
- Processor socket AM2
The CPU I want to upgrade to is a:
-AMD Phenom X4 9150e / 1.8 GHz / Quad Core
If someone could tell me if this upgrade will work and how to find out this information It would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for the additional information, @Kendrick101.
Here is the Motherboard Specifications page. If you look at the section titled "Processor upgrade information" you will see the processors that have been tested to be compatible with the motherboard. They are all 89W and the one that you mention in your post is 65W. It would not be compatible.
As for the upgrade possibilities, I personally would not do any upgrades. The benefit would not out weigh the cost. It is definitely up to you, however.

@Kendrick101, welcome back to the forum.
The model that you gave us is one of several in the series. It should have some small letters in the number, such as, a6030.xx. If you would provide those letters I will be able to help you.
