HI,
I want to upgrade my current motherboard from the prebuild HP omen 880-152nd to a newer motherboard which would fit the case. I want to do it primarily in order to upgrade the prebuild CPU Which is an I7-9700K.
Is there anyone with experience that could advise me an motherboard which would perfectly fit the case. Or is it better to buy an new case?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Welcome to our HP Community forum!
Since HP dabbles heavily in proprietary OEM motherboard/case designs, it would be difficult if not impossible to point to a motherboard "which would perfectly fit the case."
On the other hand, why would you want to change to a different motherboard/case when your OMEN by HP 880-152nd as fitted with the Tampa2 motherboard (SSID: 8437) can be upgraded up to an i9-9900K, like this HP Omen 880 series Tampa2 desktop User did: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/67546604?
Pair an i9-9900K -or even your i7-9700K with a decent graphics card, max out your RAM (4x16GB -or at least 2x16GB) and you should be able to play in ultra 1440p settings with 80+ fps in most games.
RAM upgrade examples:
4x16GB Samsung M378A2G43AB3-CWE
4x16GB Samsung M378A2K43EB1-CWE
4x16GB Crucial CT2K16G4DFD8266
4x16GB Crucial Pro CP2K16G4DFRA32A
