Hi! Recently my Omen 40L stopped booting completely. The lights and fans inside the pc would light for about 5 seconds but it wouldn't fully boot up. I took it in to get serviced and they said the issue after testing all my components is that the motherboard has failed. So instead of buying an entirely new system, I want to replace the motherboard and keep all my components I paid for. So after searching online I can't find any distributor that sells motherboards compatible with the Omen 40L, or any directly from HP/Omen. Can someone recommend me a motherboard that works, or at least get into contact with someone at HP/Omen that can help me get a replacement?

Greetings @Bryant01
Welcome to the HP Forum.
HP Part Surfer lists four possible MBs used in a GT21-1000i (6C1R0AV) PC:
- M81915-601
- M81915-602
- N27486-601
- N27486-602
Maybe you can inspect the HP Omen MB for the correct part number.
It is possible to add a MB part to the cart at Part Surfer. But you can't check out.
You might be able to find a used HP Omen MB at eBay
You might also be able to do a retail uATX MB with the 40L case.
Again, you would have to inspect the HP Omen MB for a standard 24 pin power connector and a four pin or eight pin EPS connector.
HP sometimes modifies front panel USB pinouts and/or front panel power pinouts and LED pinouts.
So, I am not positive if you can swap in a retail MB using the 40L case without front panel connectivity problems.
It is easier to do a new retail case if you go with a retail MB.
The MBs used in your PC are relatively new (Intel: Z690 or Z790). I would imagine you could find a mATX: Z690 MB or Z790 MB at Amazon or Newegg.
A new case and a new retail MB would allow you to use the remaining components installed in the 40L case.
Sadly, you will probably need a new Windows product key if you do a retail MB. And you may need a new Windows product key even if you find an exact replacement HP MB at eBay.
