Motherboard replacement

I’ve had this desktop for a while and the desktop stopped working. I took it for a checkout and the motherboard no longer works. I’m not sure where to find the motherboard. I’m not sure how find one exactly like it that could replace it. Please help with a motherboard replacement that could be exact or something like it

As long as you have the original motherboard part number as reference, you may be able to find a tested good one on eBay. If you use this source, be absolutely certain you can return it for refund if it is faulty. The good thing about HP is every part has a HP P/N identification.

As a rule of thumb HP among other mass producers of prepackaged computers, stock most recent motherboards. Older stock is usually sold off as surplus.

Proprietary motherboards are expensive in comparison to "DYI" motherboards like Asus, Gigabyte, MSI. New old stock HP, Dell,  Lenovo boards tend to be expensive as well if and when you can find them. 

You may be better off building a new computer or selling off the known good parts.

one questions can I replace the motherboard with a 590 or does it have to be 690?
