Hello, so I'm a super noob at all this but here is my problem. I bought a small computer for the living room to play games and watch movies and later down the line get better upgrades for newer games. I looked online and saw a HP PAVILION 570 P0XX with a willow2 motherboard because I like amd from using my sons computer and it had a nice white front to match my living room. So while I'm looking online I saw that this motherboard can only accept 3 cpus of which I have a A10-9700 and the highest is the A12-9800. So I thought I can change the motherboard for a better atx board but apparently there are no other board that fit because of the stand offs? My cpu is bottlenecking a gtx 1650 so I can't see the A12-9800 being much more powerful still only being 4 cores?? Any help greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

@NovaR , welcome to the Community.
Here is a HP Knowledge Base article that will explain what to consider when upgrading the motherboard in a HP computer. I realize that it is discussing moving a HP motherboard to a new case, but the same considerations are necessary if you change the motherboard in a HP case.
You are correct that the A12-9800 would not be much of an upgrade.

Thank you for the additional information, @NovaR!
In that instance, the article that I provided is appropriate. Your best option is to choose a manufacturer of motherboards and contact their Tech Support for help. They are the experts on their products and should be able to tell you if their boards would be compatible with your case.
