Hi @1N13340CXV,

If the mouse is not working on your desktop PCs, here are several troubleshooting steps you can try:

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Check Physical Connections:

    • Ensure that the mouse is properly connected to the USB port. Try switching to a different USB port to rule out any port-specific issues.
    • If it’s a wireless mouse, ensure the batteries are charged or replaced, and the receiver is properly connected.
  2. Restart the PC:

    • A simple restart can often resolve peripheral recognition issues.
  3. Check for Hardware Issues:

    • Test the mouse on another computer to ensure it is functioning properly and is not defective.
    • Try a different mouse on your desktop to see if it's recognized and working.
  4. Update Drivers:

    • Visit the manufacturer's website to download and install the latest drivers for your mouse.
    • You can also check for driver updates through the Device Manager on your PC. Right-click on the Start button, select "Device Manager," find "Mice and other pointing devices," right-click on your mouse, and select "Update driver."
  5. Check Device Manager:

    • Open Device Manager and check if there are any error symbols next to the mouse entry. If there’s an issue, uninstall the device and restart your PC to reinstall it automatically.
  6. Check USB Settings:

    • Make sure USB ports are enabled in the BIOS/UEFI settings of your PC. Sometimes, USB ports can be disabled inadvertently.
  7. Scan for Hardware Changes:

    • In Device Manager, right-click on the computer's name and select "Scan for hardware changes." This can sometimes force the system to recognize the mouse.
  8. BIOS/UEFI Update:

    • Ensure your BIOS/UEFI is up-to-date as sometimes outdated firmware can cause connectivity issues with peripherals.
  9. Check for System Conflicts:

    • Ensure there are no software conflicts or recent changes to the system that might have affected the mouse's functionality.
  10. Operating System Issues:

    • Ensure your operating system is up-to-date. You can check for updates through the Windows Update settings.
