Welcome to our HP Community forum!
For users whose keyboards lack a dedicated "Print Screen" (PrtScn) button, they can still capture screenshots in Windows 11 using alternative methods:
Method 1: Use the Windows Snipping Tool
- Press Windows + Shift + S:
- This will open the Snipping Tool overlay.
- Choose a snip mode (Rectangular, Freeform, Window, or Fullscreen) by selecting from the toolbar.
- The screenshot will be copied to the clipboard.
- Paste the screenshot into an application (e.g., Paint, Word, or an email) using Ctrl + V.
Method 2: Use On-Screen Keyboard
- Search for "On-Screen Keyboard" in the Windows search bar and open it.
- Use the virtual "PrtScn" button on the on-screen keyboard to take a screenshot.
Method 3: Use the Windows + Volume Down Keys
- On some desktops and laptops, pressing Windows + Volume Down takes a full-screen screenshot and saves it directly to the Screenshots folder in Pictures.
Method 4: Snipping Tool App
- Open the Snipping Tool by searching for it in the Windows search bar.
- Click "New" to take a screenshot and save it directly.
Any of these methods should help you to capture screenshots without needing a physical "Print Screen" button!
Kind Regards,
