My computer doesn't start when I push the power button. Before it completely ceased to work it started when I pushed the power button for a while or with "different angels". I recall it also made beep noises.
I have back-up on most of the content, but not emails and an installed program I want to use and not purchase again.
Perhaps it can be repaired, if the issue is with the power button, but I wonder if there are other options?
For example, could I move the HD to another computer/chassi?
Or can I access the HD and use it (the program and move the data yet not backed up) in another way?
I would of course prefer to put my money in buying a new computer.
Great if someone with knowledge in this area would give me advice, besides go to a repair shop and buy a new computer. 🙂

Hi @MikeFlo
Welcome to the HP Forum.
You should be able to mount a functional, unencrypted HDD using a different PC either: by connecting this drive internally to a second PC or using a: SATA HDD or SATA SSD to USB 3.0 adapter.
The type of adapter needed would depend on the type SATA drive you have (HDD or SSD). A HDD may require an adapter with power.
Check Amazon for options.
