Product: Pavilion 23xw

Every time I start up my computer it tells me to take a hard drive test. It then says my hard drive is not installed. I don't understand the problem because I've never had it before. Can someone help?

What is the full model of the computer? I need this information to review the specifications of it. Please don't furnish the Serial # or other personal information.  The Product Number that you provided is for your monitor.

Hello,

Probably your harddrive have bad sectors. I recommend replace harddrive
To turn off the message, enter Bios and disable S.M.A.R.T reading option.

If you want try to repair this, make backup of your files to pendrive download MHDD, make bootable CD/pendrive and try repair Bad sectors. This solution can help or destroy your harddrive. Search in internet before you try fixing it.

@Bailey19, While @xBishu  has given you some good information, when we have the model of your computer we can give you better help with replacing the drive if necessary.
