Paul I just posted a question about the 1600/12800 ram when I installed it it only shows as 1333mhz another reply says an 8300 only runs up to 1333mz or do I need to tweak my computer some how?

Hi:

What processor do you have installed?

The PC's memory should be running at 1600 MHz as long as you have installed a 3rd generation core processor, which also runs at 1600 MHz.

See the HP quickspecs on the 8300 elite...page 11 clearly specifies that the memory should run at 1600 MHz depending on the processor installed (see the blue type).

yes but the 1600mhz simms are  running at 1333 thats what i'm tring to figure out whats wrong and it is a I5-3570 processor any suggestions?tks
