Product: 15-ac124TU

My laptop model number 15-ac124TU. My laptop not detecting external storage devices. Especially hard disks, where these devices works in other laptops.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

 

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,  I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:  

  • Have you checked with other USB ports on the computer?
  • Have you tried different USB devices such as mobile phone, flash drive?

While you respond let's run the component tests are used to manually select and test the individual computer components.

Click here: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03467259 to run the component test. ( refer to Complete list of Component Tests )
