Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Is there space on this motherboard for a 2280mm NVMe M.2 SSD or is 2260mm the max. length it will handle ??

@357sig , welcome back to the forum.

 

All of the SSD's that I have seen in HP desktops are 2280's (22 mm (0.866") wide and 80 mm (3.149") long).  Here is the Motherboard Specifications page.  You can locate the SSD socket in the diagram and take measurements to be certain.
