Welcome to our peer-to-peer HP Community Forum!
Just hear me out for a moment: I would advise against rigging up a power supply for your HP Z400 WS.
Your HP Z400 Workstation as fitted with an HP Tylersburg motherboard is designed with a non-standard ATX power supply connector. Meaning, an industry standard ATX power supply cannot be plugged in your motherboard and in fact may damage the motherboard if you try to plug it in.
However, there is a solution. The solution is to use an "ATX to HP Z400 24 Pin Non Standard ATX Pinout Main Power Adapter Cable", like the one you can see in this eBay-US link from a Trusted eBay Seller: ATX PSU 24-Pin Power Adapter Cable Non-Standard Wiring Motherboard for HP Z400 | eBay:
[EDIT:] Or see if you can order it via AliExpress: ATX PSU Power Supply Extension Cable 18AWG For HP Z400 24-Pin Non-Standard Wiring Motherboard Adapte....
That is what I would strongly recommend: find a way in your country to purchase this ATX power adapter cable, and you can use any industry standard ATX power supply without risking frying your motherboard.
There is a proprietary HP 600-watt power supply for your desktop with p/n: 626409-001, but even here in the US (eBay) is ridiculously expensive.
Anyway, hope this was helpful.
Kind Regards,

@NonSequitur777
Thank you for your reply. I am already aware that I can purchase an adapter to ATX for my Z400.
What I was trying to do is transplant my Z400 into the case of the xw8400 which is a much roomier/nicer case with an 800watt PSU.
I was hoping to make an adapter cable to use the 800watt psu of xw8400 to power my Z400. I have both machines and I would like to "merge" them lets say
I hope that was clear
