I have an HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-2170m CTO and am attempting to upgrade it.
I have already bought the parts: an RTX 3060 12GB and a Ryzen 7 5700X, I also have 32GB of RAM and a TB of SSD
unfortunately I stupidly didn't look too much into a power supply that's compatible with my PC, I realized that the power supply I bought, a CORSAIR CX650 was way too big to fit in the case and from what I've looked up (correct me if I'm wrong) it doesn't appear to be compatible with my motherboard. The only option at the moment seems to be buying a 500w HP power supply from someone reselling it for an insane price. It also seems that the highest that these HP power supplies go is 500w when I need at least 550w for my build (or at least I've been told).
Does anyone know a way to make a traditional PSU to fit or any PSUs that are compatible?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to our HP Community forum!
Your HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-2170m CTO (3V2Z3AV) is compatible with this 500-watt power supply with part number: L05757-800. You can purchase these power supplies relatively inexpensively via eBay, such as this $59.99 offer via this trusted eBay Seller: https://www.ebay.com/itm/276672163222?_skw=L05757-800&itmmeta=01JDV9WJKWBWKN3W5KAS6X9VRY&hash=item40....
This 500-watt power supply (equipped with one 8-pin and one 6-pin PCIe power cables), is quite sufficient to power your PC with the components you listed (RTX 3060 [170-watt TDP], Ryzen 7 5700X [65-watt TDP], 32GB RAM, etc.) -trust me on this one!

Thank you so much for this, you’re a life saver! I’ve seen this power supply online and have considered it but been hesitant because I’ve heard from some sources that 500w should be fine but from others it won’t work but if you think that it’ll work fine then I’ll buy it for sure. I was worried I was gonna have to buy a new motherboard and case so thank you so much!

Hey, I didn’t get the chance to order it for the last few days and I finally just got to it and it was sold it, just wondering… is this the same part?
If so, do you know of any that may be cheaper?
Again, thanks for the help!

Yes, the power supply you referenced would be compatible.
A (marginally) cheaper compatible 500-watt power supply: https://www.ebay.com/itm/195641195641?_skw=HP+L05757-800&itmmeta=01JE04T0Q8VXQF3P19RMTTZ4MV&hash=ite....

I ended up ordering the one that I initially sent, for whatever reason it said that the seller didn’t ship to my location… I don’t really mind paying a bit more though. Thank you for your help with this, it should be here in about a week, I’ll keep you updated

Hey, this is a bit unrelated to the initial problem but my CPU just came in and I put it in and my PC’s not booting. It is lighting up and I can hear it running but my screen just stays black…
I believe I took all of the proper precautions, I updated my bios and I reset my cmos and I just can’t get it to work
The power supply has not come in yet, to my knowledge it should still work with my current 400W power supply but maybe not?
If you know what may be causing this or have any ideas to fix it that would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

What processor did you get? -Meaning, did you get the proper CPU: Ryzen 7 5700G?
Your Erica6 motherboard (SSID: 8906) only accepts these processors:
If you got a Ryzen 7 5700 or a Ryzen 7 5700X, they will not work...

Dang that would be it, I got the ryzen 5700X…
So would this (https://a.co/d/b6W9J1D) be the correct one?
And also just to be safe, would this (https://a.co/d/1EKRhzb) work with it?
Cause if so I’ll just return the CPU I have and replace it with the new one
Im so sorry for all of the questions I'm paranoid now lol
