Thankfully the one I ordered off ebay fits, not perfectly, but it fits and works fine. Thanks for all your help everyone.

Some time ago, I bought a sata cable, it was certainly not exactly the same, but if long enough, and it looks like the hp one, so normally no worries

I thought to myself that it must be possible, to have something functional
