Pavilion 590-p0040
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am getting ready to install a new HP Pavilion 590-p0040 desktop, purchased this past March.  The computer came with a wireless keyboard and mouse.  This set most closely resembles the HP Pavilion Wireless Keyboard and Mouse 800  ( produce #4CE99AA#ABL), although there is no visible product or serial number on either device.  I have installed 2 AAA batteries in the keyboard but the mouse has no visible or accessible battery compartment.  Does the mouse require batteries, and how can I install them if it does?  My option is to start up the new PC and immediately install my existing wired keyboard and trackball.

hi

if it is a wireless mouse, there are certainly batteries, in general there are already batteries, sometimes blocked by a small tab!
There are two possibilities most often a compartment below, or it is the upper part that must be removed
hard to find without the exact model, but it can be as shown here:

if it is a wireless mouse, there are certainly batteries, in general there are already batteries, sometimes blocked by a small tab!
