I was able to get this computer for only $5 from a good friend of mine so I thought it's worth the risk it still works just needs some upgrading the CPU that's in it now is Intel core 2 duo e7200 2.53GHz I was able to find a Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 2.5GHz on E Bay for only $20 with another $23 for another 4GB of ram making it 8GB total what I am wondering will the Core 2 Quad Q9300 work? I already replaced the old 80GB HHD with a 1TB Seagate SSHD 2'5 inch(only spare drive I have.) I put Windows 10 on it. I see finding a GPU will be fun I think I found one that may fit it's the MSI GeForce 210 N210-MD1G/D3 1GB PCI Express x16 Low Profile anything's better then the onboard gpu I only wanted this computer for a spare till I can save enough to buy a new laptop where I'm not sure how much longer my 7 year old laptop got(may have motherboard problems causing the need to reinstall Windows once a month due to it slowing down)
I still see these computers selling on Newegg for $200 to $600 range refurbished depending in hardware installed I'm more of a AMD person so I don't know much about Intel but I'm shocked even with 4GB ram and this dual core it runs a lot better then I thought it would. I can surf the web with little to no problems but Youtube is a pain.
Thanks.
