I'm planning on buying an AMD Ryzen 3 3200G (after bios upgrade), nvme SSD and ram. The problem is this computer only comes with a measly 180W PSU. I need about 400W PSU and wanted to buy the

Cooler Master Elite V3 MPW-4001-ACAAN1

  1. Please let me know if this would fit
    2. Let me know of other 400W that would fit on this pc if not.

@Computerdude187,

You have never looked inside the case? ☹️😞 or you would not be asking this!

The PSU is a proprietary unit. That means an off-the-shelf ATX will never work.

HP does support their 400W and 500W in those units.

BTW - Crucial only has reference to m.2 SATA devices, not the faster NVMe devices.  Better check that port.

Right, sorry not an nvme SSD meant m.2. Already checked which ssds fit and it was nothing but a typing mistake! Also thanks for telling about the PSU. My friend told me it'd fit but I kinda thought it wouldn't so it was just to make sure. Can you link me to the HP 400w unit that you were talking about?

@Computerdude187,

You can purchase the PSU from HP.   400W part #  L04618-800   Video on PSU.

Regardless of PSU unit, all install the same.

The PSU can be upgraded to a regular 24 pin ATX PSU but it requires some tinkering. I have upgraded the PSU in a HP 290 G2 Microtower as you can see in the post below.

It won’t be exactly the same for your PC but it can be done.
