The internal CPU fan on the motherboard just failed and stopped working on my parents computer. It first started making a loud noise, then nothing. A message comes up when booting the computer saying it couldn't detect the fan and asking to boot. I have tried troubleshooting steps. I believe it just needs a new fan.
I have searched online for a replacement (not much luck) and are contacting HP to see if you have any for sale. I tried calling the HP support phone number (disconnected multiple times and could not get transferred to the correct department to ask). This is my next attempt. Do you know if you have any fans to purchase? I believe the fan type is 400-434 cooling fan with Heatsink.
My parents bought the PC about 2 1/2 years ago so it is not in warranty any more. If you are unable to directly help, can you please point me in the right direction.
Thank you for your help

@TonyStark007, welcome to the forum.
You should try HP Partsurfer. The computer is new enough that HP should have the part available.
