I have an HP Super Multi DVD Rewriter, GT30L.

I couln't find this device in HP's web site.

I requires a SATA Cable and I need to know what kind of Cable I need to connect it to my motherboard.

Does anyone know what this DVD Writer needs?

Thanks.

Correct.  The power-supply inside your computer should have lots of such connectors.

Fortunately, there is only one "standard" for SATA cables.

The pictured cable has the optional 90-degree connector at one end, for fitting into a tight space, but most SATA cables have the "flat" connector at both ends.

Thanks for the info.

The connector on the drive has two parts to it, though.

I rummaged through my basement and managed to find a SATA cable that fits into one part of the drive's connector.

I assume one is for the SATA cable and the other is for a power cable?

Is that about right?

Thanks.
