Hello,
New to having an OMEN desktop, have been Pavillion user. In the documentation on the HP site it says i can upgrade with hard drives in the front "flip up" sections of the desktop. So to expand my storage how is that done. Purchase new hard drives, plug them into the drive and load the software, or can i use my old hard drive from the computer i replaced and plug it in and it will begin recognizing it? Would love the extra storage, just not sure how to do it short of buying an external HD to set on desk, would like it all to be contained in the desktop if thats an option.
Thanks for the help

You can install the SATA 3.5 legacy hard disk from your previous PC in one of the hard drive sleds and use it as storage if you like. You can also install 2.5" format legacy SATA disks or a SATA SSD.
If it was formatted as NTFS or FAT32, it will be recognized as present and available to use as storage in the Windows Explorer.

This video shows installation on the side of the unit, but will the same principal apply using the top slots and sleds and not go into the unit itself? I have a 256 SSD and 2TB drive already inside, so i wanted to add to the Flip Doors on top and use that carriage to install
Thanks again

Yes.
If you install the drives to the sleds and use the top slots, the same principle will apply.
