HP ProDesk 400 G5 Small Form Factor PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello! I need your help and knowledge. I have an HP ProDesk 400 G5 SFF (Product number: 4QQ19LT#ABM) and I want to install a Zotac GeForce RTX 3050 6GB Low Profile graphics card (already purchased). My problem is that my current HP 180W Gold L07658-001 power supply isn't sufficient for the RTX 3050 (the total system draw would be around 190W). I need a higher wattage power supply.

I'm looking for an OEM HP 310W or 400W SFF power supply, or even a 250W SFF power supply, but one that's compatible with the proprietary motherboard connectors of the HP ProDesk 400 G5.

Has anyone successfully performed this upgrade on an HP ProDesk 400 G5 SFF or similar?
Do you know of specific part numbers that work?

I would greatly appreciate any advice or experience to get my low-profile RTX 3050 running smoothly.

Thanks in advance!

this infomation is mostly from a post "NonSequitur777" previously posted on the 800 G5

i think that the ProDesk 800 G5 power supplies will fit the 400 G5 also

you can use the 250-watt power supply (p/n: L08417-004/002) or, better still, a 400-watt power supply with p/n: 942332-001, (L04618-800) with one 6+2-pin PCIe power cable, and a 500-watt power supply, with p/n: L77487-003 (L89233-001), the latter being equipped with two 6+2-pin PCIe power cables.
