My I have the hp 510-p026 and i was wondering if I can put a new motherboard in the case I was wondering if the Front panel connectors would get in the way of me doing this

you may have difficulty indeed for the connectors, which may be specific to an HP model!
You may also be limited, by the size of the motherboard, and the fixings of the HP case, for some the power supply may also be a problem
As long as you have to do so, try to find another box, which will be 100% "compatible", and with which you can use different formats, If necessary you can recover what is possible
Hard drive, DVD player, memory if your motherboard supports the same etc!
there are towers ,at all costs it may be worth it, rather than being stuck with something
