HP ENVY Desktop - 795-0030qd CTO
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an Envy 795-0030 qd CTO desktop computer with a 844c Berks motherboard. HP's drivers website for my computer  comes up with a new BIOS that states it improves security. The BIOS is F.49 Rev A. and it will not install on my computer. I am running Windows 10 64 bit 22H2.  I know that sometimes if certain drivers are out of date it can cause problems with blue screens when installing Microsoft's Windows security updates. Not sure if this is the case with the BIOS? Any he;p would be appreciated.

a bios will not install for various reasons
you are using a version already in place..
the version has a problem!
or something is blocking normal flow, and it could be anything, hard to identify
now you say:
"I know that sometimes if certain drivers are out of date it can cause problems with blue screens when installing Microsoft's Windows security updates."
never seen that, but anyway here, it's the bios, not drivers!
It is just mentioned that it improves security, but without any particular information!
We will strongly recommend this to you, but it can't have any particular improvement, other than just avoiding certain security problems, and we don't know which ones most often
and anyway, if you don't pay attention to how you use the internet, it won't change much!
then there is the risk of a complete crash, look at the many threads here, with failed bios, unusable computers!
My advice, either you try, and waste time finding a solution, if it exists, or you don't tempt the devil, and don't risk installing this update!
See which one is already in place..
