Hello,

Currently working on refitting an older HP Z420 Workstation with a newer Graphics Card. We ran into some compatibility issues with other PCIe cards in the past, so hoping to get confirmation if any of the following Graphics cards would run into issues (as far as physically fitting and matching PCIe versions go they fit/match).

HP  motherboard model is a 2012 E93839.

Current graphics card is a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650.

Looking to replace with one of the following (all Nvidia chipset based):

CORN GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER 8GB D6 Graphics Card, 8GB 256-bit GDDR6, Support PCI Express 3.0, 1 x HDMI, 3 x DisplayPort

MAXSUN GeForce RTX 2060 Super iCraft 8G GDDR6 Gaming Video Graphics Card HDMI2.1 Desktop GPU

EVGA GeForce RTX 2060 12GB XC GAMING, 12G-P4-2263-KR, 12GB GDDR6, Dual Fans, Metal Backplate

ZOTAC GeForce RTX 2060 12GB GDDR6 PCI Express 3.0 Video Card ZT-T20620F-10M

None of the cards you listed in your original post are above 184W, so you should have no issues fitting any of these cards.

Hi John,

Does your HP Z420 have the 400W or 600W PSU installed? How many auxilliary PCIe power connectors does your Z420  have?

Can you also post your current CPU and RAM configuration, (as these components also require power from the PSU to function), and the motherboards Boot Block Date (as stated in the BIOS).
