TouchSmart 9300 Elite All in One
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

No power to TouchSmart 9300 Elite All in One.  No lights, bells, whistles.  Completely dead.

  • purchased another power supply, did not work
  • unplugged power, held power button for 20 seconds, plug power in, did not work

If this was a laptop my next step would be to replace the DC power jack.   The power cord has not been removed in probably years.  So i don't think there is wear/tear on the DC power jack as a laptop would show.

Is this a good idea or is there something else I should look at first.?

Its a great machine but several years old.  All parts would come from used machines from the net.  Purchasing a laptop to replace is a option.

Suggestions?

Darryl

@ACETech -- I think that you have covered most of the bases (now that Major League Baseball has concluded), other than replacing the CPU, or pulling-out/reseating/replacing the RAM. Maybe, you can find an inexpensive motherboard on eBay ???
