Hi,
After a power outage, my Pavilion p7-1380t desktop PC no longer booted up properly. It seems to boot into the Windows10 background screen waiting for user input but my USB mouse and keyboard have no power to them. Usually I can see lights on the keyboard and under the LED mouse. I tried swapping to all the other Comm ports with the same result. On initial boot-up, I can see lights on the keyboard and under the mouse but they go dark during the Windows10 boot so I am left without any user input devices.
Can I buy a new motherboard or a compatible replacement so I don't lose all my installations?
Thank you...

I was able to create a Windows10 boot disk at the Microsoft Web site and then use it to boot into the Advanced Startup Options to restore the Pavilion PC to a backup from a few weeks ago. It seems that Windows had an update around 2/24/18 that caused havoc to many PCs. My other laptop, which also runs Windows 10, had lost it's touch screen capability.

I will keep my new motherboard since it works and have a spare that I will hopefully never need.

I have swapped out my motherboard with the one from NewEgg only to discover that I still have the same issue. I then focused on the ATX power supply and verified all the voltages are correct on the 24-pin Molex connector.
I hadn't been in the BIOS in a long time but finally found that the ESC key gets me there on a bootup. When in the HP BIOS menus, my mouse and keyboard work just fine. I ran some tests and they all passed.
So when exiting the BIOS and loading up Windows 10, both my usb keyboard and mouse lose power. This feels like a Windows 10 issue now and I do not have a boot dist. Maybe I can create on from and online source. I also tried getting into SAFE mode withour success. This is an odd issue so I am open to suggestions...
