I am wanting a 1 TB SSD drive in this HP All-in-One 22-c00083w, but the specifications do not exist on the support site, and I can't tell if it is even possible to install or not. There used to be some support documents, but they appear to have vanished.

The specifications show that it has a legacy 1TB SATA HDD.

You can replace it with an up to 4TB SATA 2.5" SSD. I suggest purchasing one that is delivered with an adapter so it will fit directly into where the OEM HDD was.
Lets keep this discussion in the thread.
I found a link to the Apulia motherboard that your AIO PC has.

It does show an socket 3, M.2 slot. I will have to ask HP about that. The answer from a Subject Matter HP employee expert might take a day or so. Generally an M.2 socket is tied to a PCIE interface.
