@Arn07 , welcome to the Community.

I suggest that you check to assure that your speaker is shown as the Default in the sound settings.  If it is, you should check Bose's website for the appropriate driver.  The manufacturer is responsible for the drivers.

Thank you for the input,   However I have tried several things including those you mentioned.  Although the HP desktop sees my Bose Sound link, the Windows 11 does not (at least that I can find so far)  Windows assist wants to default to Windows 10 not 11.  So went this route in case someone has another idea.

You are welcome, @Arn07!

I believe the problem is not having the appropriate driver for Win 11.  You should contact Bose's Tech Support to see if they can help you.  I have a Bose Home Theater System and they have always been extremely helpful when I have a problem; which hasn't been many.

Thank you for the suggestion to upgrade the Bose Driver(s).  Have not replied to your suggestion because discovered needed a special cable to connect with the PC to enable downloading of the driver.  So cable is ordered and I await delivery.  Will update after it arrives.

After at least an hour on the phone with Bose, discerned two things: one the Bose speaker works  with other devices and does not have a driver for W11,  two Windows 11 does not recognize the Bose speaker, even though the HP desk top does!!!!  So I guess I try to contact Microsoft.  Thanks for the assistance.

You are welcome, @Arn07!

Normally, if you are having a problem with Windows you will find someone on their website who is having the same problem.

Good luck on solving your problem.
