Hi.
I have two HP 285 G3 Microtower Business PCs (HP Desktop Pro A MT 4NL53LA#AC4 and 7NV56LA#AC4 according to HP Support app) with a B350 chipset (verified in CPU-Z) and a Ryzen 3 Pro 2200G (4C/4T) processor running the F.61 BIOS and I really like these PCs. Both desktops have a 310 watts PSU and an AMD RX550 4Gb videocard, with 2x16GB and 2x8Gb DDR4 2660Mhz memory, respectively.
For quite a long time I'd been wanting to upgrade them to a Ryzen 5 or 7 processor (6C/12T or 8C/16T). I've searched for compatibility and found in the QuickSpecs Guide that the "compatible CPU AMD Ryzen5 PRO 2600 Core 3.4GHz LGA 65W" and the "AMD Ryzen7 PRO 2700 Processor*** Eight Core 3.2GHz LGA 65W" are listed as compatible with my specific desktop.
But both are the PRO versions, and it's quite difficult to find those where I live (Brazil).
Does anybody test the non-PRO versions of these non-PRO processors with this desktop (Raven Ridge or Pinnacle Ridge), or even any other Ryzen processor and if they work? Any upgrade suggestions?
